The present release of the Osprey comes with three showcase fixed camera views:
- #1 … From the right towards the body
- #2 … From the left towards the body
- #3 … From the read towards top of the body
Default Asobo aircraft have no consistent "standard" for external showcase fix cameras … the number ranges from 4 (e.g. the Latitude) to 17 (in the 747-8).
However, the tests that I have done in the past have shown some (accidental?) pattern:
- Fixed Cam 2 … from left wing tip towards body.
- Fixed Cam 3 … from right wing tip towards body.
- Fixed Cam 4 … from rear … looking at the bottom and the landing gear
I do miss the "Fixed Cam 4" in the Osprey because I find that view interesting during final approaches.
And for the Osprey a very interesting "Fixed Cam" would be from the inside looking towards the rear ramp … so that when it is open one could have a "flight engineer" (load master?) view out of the back.
Sadly MSFS does not allow a customization of the external cameras. So they have to be part of the product.
