AP VS speed dial activates AP Altitude Hold

Here is how I can reproduce it (and I have a video, if needed)

    • Power up the Osprey at some ramp … bat … apu … engine 1
    • press AP VS hold … to ON
    • turn the VS dial to +100 ft … OK
    • turn the VS dial back to 0 ft … OK
    • turn the VS dial to -100 ft … and AP VS Hold will go to "OFF" and AP Alt Hold will go to ON.

I have no idea what the real Osprey AP is doing while still on the ground … but this feels incorrect to me. I think I should be able to preset any climb rate.

PS: And then there is this related bug, that once I activate "AP VS Hold" I can no longer deactivate it.

    1. This is stock MSFS AP Behavior. The same issue is replicable with stock aircraft. I was able to replicate with the Cessna Citation Longitude. This is also beyond the normal AP operations on the Osprey. AP should only be activated when nacelles are at 0, which is impossible on the ground with the engines running.

The VS Hold button stuck issue is known, being fixed.

      1. VS Issue fixed, an update will be pushed out shortly.

A similar issue with the ALT Hold issue being stuck is also known. This is MSFS AP Behaviour as well - there is a 300ft "Autocapture". To turn off Alt Hold, just increase/decrease the altitude by 300ft or more.
