V-22 antigravity bug

Hi, first of all, let me say thank you for the new update, the Osprey became much more fun to fly! However, as much as I hate to be that guy again, there are few issues I noticed. The most critical of them:

In certain conditions, it is possible to trigger an "antigravity" bug, where the aircraft stays airborne, or even climbs, at zero power. First it happened to me randomly, after some time I learnt how to reproduce it:

-trim for a level flight at about 240kt (that will require lots of forward trim)
-cut the power lever completely to zero
-go to CONV mode normally (yes, you should probably do that at lower speed, and I am pretty sure it happened to me at lower speeds as well, but at higher speeds it can be reproduced reliably it seems)
-with power lever still at zero, keep pulling the nacelles backwards as per normal, staying in the green arc
-slow down to or near to a hover
    -it floats!!!

Yes, the aircraft will simply stay in midair, even with the throttle fully cut. In two cases, it even started rapidly climbing on me! In this state, you can do all sorts of things with the Osprey, and it still keeps its vertical speed, it never drops even if upside down. Only after you moved the power lever from zero, it will break out from antigravity and normal physics will resume.

I made a small video depicting the issue, it should be available here: https://ufile.io/icwl9k53
Hopefully it will be a bit helpful.

There are a few smaller issues I noticed, I reckon I should open a separate topic for each one. Once again, thanks for the great work, and good luck squashing those bugs!

Hmm … pretty interesting bug indeed.

I just observed a perhaps (somewhat) related flight model bug which I have never seen prior to v1.2.

I did come down for a landing fairly slowly (ca 50 ktas, 200 ft/minute ?) … and when I touched down the Osprey got catapulted straight up (even without any trottle).
Ok … so this is not "antigravity floating" … but I feel like this might also be related to the "throttle at zero" bug.

Visually it felt like the "bounce of the landing gear" catapulted the Osprey straight up again … almost faster then it might be possible at full trottle.

So far I have only seen this once … and I have no idea (yet) how to provoke it.

PS: Besides that, I really like the new "throttle to power" mapping a lot more then the old version. Good improvements of the flight model in general!

                  1. Probably related to the same issue. Will push the update tonight.

                    1. Fix has been sent to distributors. Should be out in a couple of days as the ORBX team is out for the FSExpo
