Documentation 1.2 - "Gas Generator" ?
Page 33 has the following two entries:
7 – Ng: Gas Generator Speed (Engine Throttle)
8 – MGT: Measured Gas Generator Temperature
The phrase "Gas Generator" is confusing to me.
Nothing on the Osprey does generate gas … it feels more like this should rather say "Turbine" instead of "Gas" (if this refers to the electric generator which is linked to the turbine) … but then the term in the brackets (Engine Throttle) is also confusing to me. Or "Gas Generator" should be replaced by "Turbine".
The throttle (in the cockpit) defines a digital fly-by-wire set-point (e.g. for trust … or the fuel-flow-rate). But if "Ng" is linked to the electrical generator which is connected to the turbine, then the trottle would not "really" be the equivalent of the electric generator.
At least to me the terms are not very clear. So additional clarification or alignment of terminology would be welcome.

Hmm … ok … after some googl'ing I see that "gas generator" seems to be a "fixed term" in aviation. But for someone new to the subject adding maybe in brackets (e.g. compressor shaft) would be clearer.
