Vertical lines aft of the carrier

On final approach to the carrier, I keep seeing several vertical lines coming up out of the water, just aft of the round down. Is that another anomaly because of ASOBO, or is it a graphics setting that I need to change? Pete

    1. Haven't seen them, first time.

Does it happen at any specific location? Do you have the Top Gun expansion installed?

I will boot up the sim later and check, but I did uninstall the Topgun Expansion earlier today. Pete

          1. Just to confirm - did you reinstall the Topgun expansion?

                No I have not.

                1. That is the issue then. As per mentioned in the product description and manual, the Top Gun expansion is absolutely required for the product to function correctly. Many things, such as the arrestor cables, effects, and some animations are inherited from the Top Gun expansion.

Thanks. Later on today I will reinstall to confirm all ok. Greatly appreciate your quick responses! Pete

The problem persists. I believe the source is my PC, which is just over six years old. I am running a I7 8700 CPU with a 1080ti gpu. All works fine, but compared to present days systems, it is not as good, obviously. This Fall, I will be getting a new setup. Looking forward to that. Pete

May be. Never seen that issue before, but if you manage to fix it let me know

Really would like to find out exactly what is causing this. Irritating, to say the least.

I have the same issue. every carries I've loaded had these weird lines following the ship. To me it seems to be an issue with the ship's wake that is rendered incorrectly.

                              1. Yes, that indeed seems to be the root source of the issue, however I have no idea why it renders correctly in some systems and glitches in others. These are stock MSFS effects so they should be the same for all.

Regardless, I'll provide a workaround shortly removing the effects. I guess that would be the only solution for now
