I cannot choose a carrier to take off from, not can I fly within a few miles of the carries without crashing to desktop. therefore I haven't actually seen any of the ships. I have top gun and I've turned off crash detection in the developers option section. I have a few additional aircraft, city and airport enhancements both through the game and from vendors like Orbx. I use the Steam version of MSFS.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello Bob,
We haven't had any reports on CTDs. This is very strange, and generally CTDs are very difficult to troubleshoot.
Could you please tell us what your PC specs are?
Regards,

Any error message or the sim just crashes without any errors?

Thank you for your very quick reply. To answer one of your questions. The crash to desktop has no error messages, just goes right back to the Steam window. My computer specs are as follows alienware R11, i9 processor, 32 gig memory, Windows 10 Pro, nvidia RTX 3080, Asus ROG monitor at 2560x1440 @ 144fpd.
Thanks,

In terms of specs, you have a high-end system so that should not be an issue - definitely not crashing due to out-of-memory issues.
Please fully uninstall and reinstall the product via ORBX Central. When installing make sure the product is installed in the simulator's community folder and not in an ORBX Library. I think it may be one of two things - either the product wasn't installed correctly due to a corrupt file, or it may be installed in an ORBX Library and that doesn't work well with the sim.
As I mentioned, it can be very challenging to debug with an isolated CTD event as this has not been reported before. But at least we can begin ruling out possibilities.

I uninstalled from Orbx, turned off virus protection, and reinstalled to the MSFS Community folder (as I did before). Still crashes to Steam window. Of potential interest, when I click to see the manual in Orbx Central, it says it cann't find it (?). I have attached a screenshot of my MSFS Community Folder. In addition, I use REX Accuseason.
Thanks,

Bob, I do have an idea why it may be crashing in your system. Let me investigate a little more and I'll send you a file to test.
Miltech Simulations @MiltechSimulations
@southern455 We just released a new update. Please install the new version of Supercarrier Pro and let me know if that fixes the issue.
- SIn reply tosouthern455⬆:Robert Groh @southern455
Unfortunately, no, everything is as I described previously. I tried taking off from as far away as Miramar NAS and it still crashed to the Steam window. Seems I can't fly within about 10 miles of your ships without crashing. Thanks for your continuing efforts.

Bob, we continue investigating the issue. Unfortunately it can be very difficult to identify CTDs. Could you confirm it happens regardless of the aircraft you use?
- SIn reply tosouthern455⬆:Robert Groh @southern455
Thank you for your continuing effort. For the time being, I’ve uninstalled super carrier pro. Question is carrier landing needed if you have super carrier pro?
Miltech Simulations @MiltechSimulations
Do you mean the Top Gun expansion?
- SIn reply tosouthern455⬆:Robert Groh @southern455
Hello,
No, I have the Top Gun Expansion. I mean the "Carrier Landing" app from you that is free on the Orbx Central app. When I downloaded the Supercarrier Pro file it was there so I downloaded it as well. I have not, as yet, installed it.
BobMiltech Simulations @MiltechSimulations
No, that's no longer required. Everything is self-contained within the product itself. Only downloading Supercarrier Pro and the Top Gun Expansion are required.

@southern455 By any chance do you own REX Real Global Airport Textures? We have been told that an older version of REX may crash the sim when used with Supercarrier Pro. If this is not the case please let me know and we will continue investigating.
- SRobert Groh @southern455
YES!!! That did it! I removed REX Airport Textures (not a big deal for me) and everything works. I believe I do have the newest REX Airport Textures (March 2023) but they were the culprit. Since the problem seems solved, I can now confidently purchase your other offerings - which I will. Thank you for sticking with me and providing 5 star customer service. You folks are the best.
Gratefully,
