Suggestions for busy looking deck
Thank you for the great work! I'm sure at least some of these are being considered for future updates and some maybe are not possible within the scope of the SDK. In any case this are what I think would be great additions to your product:
- Steam effect from the catapults
- Random PA calls from the Air Boss (could also be a female voice)
- More random activity on deck (crew members rushing from one safe side to the other, moving vehicles, activity sounds, etc.)
- More signal animations from the Aircraft Director (flaps, spool up engines, hands off controls)
- Alternative lights for bad weather, maybe manually set?
- Refuel option on deck
- Ship swell (slight pitch and roll movement)
One observation: The arrestor cables have an odd-looking texture, kinda reflective? it looks strange
Thanks for developing a great carrier for MSFS!

Some of these are planned:
- No steam effects on CVN-78 as it uses the new EMALS catapult, but steam effects are planned for CVN-76 and future upcoming ships.
- Random PA Calls - that's a cool idea, noted.
- More activity on deck - planned, dependent on performance limitations
- More signal animations - also planned
- Alternative lights - could you please elaborate on that?
- Refuel option on deck - that may be a little more difficult to implement. Would require some R&D.
- Ship swell - won't implement this one. Generally doesn't work well with the other functions and complicates things too much.
As for the arresting gear, known MSFS bug: https://app.gitbook.com/o/MpoYMIdO3OB0uvw2iAEe/s/Gh3w7rlq5fvH9zEMD9OZ/product-information/known-bugs-updates-and-product-roadmap/shimmering-bounding-box-on-arrestor-cables
Thanks for the feedback!

Btw - just to clarify, some of these are lower priority/more "exploratory" features. The next one or two updates will focus on bugfixing and bringing higher priority functionality (eg. improving teleporting, etc).

thanks for the response!
About Alternate lights I mean different light configurations, probably 2 or 3, I couldn't find hard evidence on this but I'm sure there's one type of illumination for night Departure and Recovery ops (low reddish amber light)
and another, with Bridge front lights on, CVN number lit, etc. for different circumstances.
It may be worth checking on this as I'm sure night ops is done in a very specific light scenario:
