CH47D Heat Plume?
Hi
This is a weird one…
I have installed the orbx pac p-750 xstol which was working just fine.
But when I bought and installed the CH47D I noticed the heat plumes on the orbx pac p-750 xstol became massive, so large they cast shadows across the cockpit window.
So what I did:
-
I completely removed my MSFS and did a totally fresh, clean installation.
-
I only installed my MSFS "shop" bought aircraft and tested the orbx pac p-750 xstol.
It worked as it did before I bought the CH47D with a normal-sized heat plume. -
I then via Contrail installed the CH47D and tested both.
The CH47D behaved as expected, but the massive heat plume was now visible again with the orbx pac p-750 xstol. -
I removed the folder called heat-blur from C:......\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community\miltechsimulations-ch47d\VisualEffectLibs\effects.
-
I tested the orbx pac p-750 xstol and found the heat blur was back to its normal state.
My question is:
Why would the CH47D heat plume have an adverse effect, or any effect for that matter on the orbx pac p-750 xstol?

Well, this is a new one.
Our CH47 use the default heat blur effects. Seems that the other aircraft is modifying the stock effect files. Can't confirm as I do not own the other product.
Could you please screenshots of the bug? I will confirm with the ORBX guys to dig deeper into this, as this is the first report of such issue.
