PRODUCT UPDATE CHANGELOG - NOV 15TH 2022
OSPREY MV-22 V1.0.1
- Texturing Improvements (Interior)
- Liveries tweaks for quality and realism
- Engine overtoque under normal flight condition
- Interim power (PFD/FLIR) now has colored visual queues to avoid overstressing the engine (blinking red for caution, yellow for high RPM, green for normal)-
- Adjustments to how torque/throttle kicks in (instead of a sudden kick of power at around 50% torque)
- APU Coming up too fast (adding a delay of a few seconds)
- Flapaileron Animations Fixed
- Aircraft suddenly drops several thousand feet (when converting above 8000ft)/problems with Conversion operations/takeoff at altitudes greater than 8000ft.
- Aircraft accelerates as pitch angle is increased
- Oil Temps drop with engines running from 270deg Celsius
- Adjustment to Instrument view to make APU accessible
AMPHIBIOUS READY GROUP V1.0.1
- Fixes related to SU11 and LODs
- Repositioned submarine (Hawaii Location) due to conflict with other addons
USS GEORGE BUSH V1.2.5
- Fixes related to SU11 and LODs

Found a UV issue, while it's not a huge thing.. For a livery artist its a thing.. Starboard side crew door.. The rescue square and Rescue arrow lay ontop of each other... And the square is distorted.. I attempted to fix it but it still looks bad.. In the init release it appears that it was over layered such as an attempt was made to Fix it..
- W@WhiskyTangoFoxtrot
Also noticed the aircraft engines where surging while in flight, it looked like lag or something from the external view.. But that could be SU11 Related

I'll check this. The rescue arrow is in fact a decal texture. I've added this to the list for exterior revisions.
- W@WhiskyTangoFoxtrot
Are there any plans on adding panel lines vs the blank painted skin with rivets? Or will we livery artist have to add them?

External texturing improvements coming on V1.0.2
- W@WhiskyTangoFoxtrot
I am in need if knowing which sheet the refueling probe and the nose cam us on.. Says wing in blender but it's not matching the texture
- Miltech Simulations @MiltechSimulations
Both are indeed on the Wings texture

How do we get the v1.0.1 update?
There is no update button on the ORBX installer, and when you uninstall v1.0.0 and select install, v1.0.0 gets reinstalled.- Kurøsår Drækåvik @Kurosar
The update was sent to Orbx i guess, we just need to wait for Orbx to review and release it on their platform.
- BIn reply toMiltechSimulations⬆:@BanKhokklan
You have to be kidding me, this update is a joke.
Improved internal textures? Just look at that alien shit creeping on to your foots.
No sound fix? It was tracked down to “The audio issue is in fact just a small error introduced on a last-minute change. Very quick fix, but we’ll have to wait for ORBX to distribute the hotfix” That was 12 days ago..
Allso “ All these things will be addressed within 2-3 days. We learn from these mistakes :slight_smile:I wont go on whit everything that isn’t fixt, but you know anywhay, Well, 12 days later it’s still a bad realease.
Still i like the concept, and for now, put all of your effort to imply the in game heli flight model, right now this is a toy compared whit the new helis.
- Miltech Simulations @MiltechSimulations
The sound fix had other implications - for that reason we've decided to postpone this issue to v.1.0.3, as we consider is a minor issue. There are a few things related to sounds that are being fully reworked for the next update, utilizing the new heli sounds included in SU11.
Anything related to flight dynamics was priority for this update.
It is clearly stated that this product is still in active development and great improvement will be seen over time.
Internal texturing has been greatly improved. However, we'll take your feedback and continue improving that area of the cockpit.

Ah, ok. But why waste time and effort on this flightmodel?
It will fly like a toy until you adept to the new in sim heli support. No hard feelings, but i cind of expected more for the money.
- Miltech Simulations @MiltechSimulations
The flight model is the most important aspect of the product. It has been greatly improved in V1.0.1 (compared to the initial release - see the changelog)
"Heli flight physics" ONLY apply when nacelles are exactly at 90°. Aircraft flight physics ONLY apply when nacelles are at 0°. Everything else must be 100% custom-modeled, as MSFS does not support thrust vectoring.
We are still looking into Heli flight. It is possible that, at the current state of Helicopter Physics, it won't be possible to be effectively integrated into the product. Heli physics are designed for helicopters, NOT for tiltrotors. If that is the case (and if we decide to stick to custom physics), further improvements to our current model would be required.
MSFS does not, and probably never will, support full thrust vectoring. Physics are by far the most complex and important aspect of this product.
- Miltech Simulations @MiltechSimulations
Additionally - the Osprey does not handle like a helicopter in VTOL flight. Forward/backward movement is controlled by nacelle angle, not by blade pitch angle. This is not accurately simulated by MSFS heli physics, which have been modeled FOR helicopters. Applying Heli physics to the Osprey may result in a worse, less realistic flight experience.
