Baro Altitude Autopilot - MH60
The BARO ALT hold mode on the MH-60 is not working for me. The helicopter ignores the AFCS command and follows the pilot's collective input, which is the exact opposite of what an altitude hold should do. I still have to use the collective to hold the altitude... once i stabalize the alt, hit auto flight, then baro alt, the heli will still drift up (or down) UNTIL I make adjustments to the collective to stabailize the alt. Am I doing something wrong?
The dev note about "setting the collective to 0%" and using deadzones isn't stopping the conflict.

Can you provide a video of the issue? (Most likely missing a step, or incorrectly using Autopilot)- VIn reply toVeldetta⬆:@Veldetta
PC / MSFS 2024 SU4 Beta (same thing happens to me in SU3)

Note: After I stabilize the altitude with the collective (while it's active), it seems to hold. Is this how it's suppose to work?
Miltech Simulations @MiltechSimulationsThe standard procedure is as follow:
- Engage AFCS
- Engage BARO HOLD
- Park collective to zero. The autopilot will take over and you will see the collective moving up and down, adding input to keep altitude constant. You must have an extremity deadzone of at least 2% on the collective axis (on the ZERO position) to avoid conflict with hardware.
Looking at the video the collective never automatically moves, meaning that it is never able to send automatic input. This could be due to two different reasons - #1 could be a corrupted installation leading to the module to fail to execute (pls try reinstalling the aircraft). 2nd option is a continuous hardware conflict due to lack of a extremity deadzone, leading to this.
I just did everything you mentioned (except reinstall because it's being streamed through the marketplace). However... I
- Set the extremity deadzone to at least 2%
- Engaged AFCS
- Engaged BARO HOLD
- Parked collective to zero (i then had to manually move the collective from not crashing the heli)
See video i just recorded showing the above steps: https://youtu.be/tihBbRS4kFw
I've been trying to troubleshoot this issue on my own for about a day and a half and posted here as a last resort. I've read the docs and looked at YouTube videos to no avail.
I appreciate your support on this.
BTW, I had extremity set to -0.02 previously.
