M2K-C : issues with external fuel tanks and autopilot
Hello,
here are two issues I have with the M2k-C which I bought a few days ago:
-1- Is the extra fuel of the external fuel tanks modelled? It doe not seem to be. When I load external fuel tanks it does not affect the fuel quantity displayed of the gauges, they both keep indicating 1600. Should the fuel transfer from the external tanks be manually activated ? The manual has a link to a fuel system page but its empty...
https://docs.miltechsimulations.com/miltech-fighters-m2k-c/aircraft-and-systems/fuel-system
Would be great to have working external fuel tanks because the range of the aircraft is quite limited otherwise.
-2- the autopilot seems capricious, unless I am not using it correctly. It sometimes work as intended (follows the heading bug with NAV activated and keep altitude with ALT) and sometimes does its own thing.
and since I am at it ...
not an issue but a suggestion:
I guess that in the "real" aircraft (well, as far as I know from the DCS modelling ;-) ) the fast INS alignment ALCM is done using the prep00 point, where the last position at shutdown is stored. When using ALCM you do not re-enter the local position in a prep01 point, but the alignement is done from prep00. Would be good to have this possibility as well here as well, and use prep00 with local position for ALCM.
Thanks, cheers

Miltech Simulations @MiltechSimulations1 - External fuel tanks are fully modeled. The procedure is as follows:
- Tanks are added via the VTB Display, similar procedure to how weapons are loaded: https://docs.miltechsimulations.com/miltech-fighters-m2k-c/aircraft-and-systems/weapon-and-defensive-systems/loading-weapons
- With your tanks loaded onto the aircraft, open the Fuel and Weights menu in MSFS to load fuel to them. If the tanks are not previously loaded via the VTB, they will reset to zero fuel.
- The fuel indicator has two different readings: JAUG indicates your fuel onboard, on the main tanks. DETOT indicates your total fuel, including external tank. The columns only indicate the last 700kg on each internal tank.
2- We are not tracking any issues with autopilot, provided that it is used correctly:
https://docs.miltechsimulations.com/miltech-fighters-m2k-c/aircraft-and-systems/autopilot-system- PA must be active, then use the altitude selection modes and ALT AFF to intercept an altitude.
- NAV can also be selected with PA on.
- To disengage, press the PA button. Avoid disengaging the system by doing aggressive maneuvers with the stick while on autopilot, as this may indeed cause a conflict next time you wish to engage the system.
If you have other issues please ellaborate on the problem and I'll take a look.
3 - Our system, as it is currently designed, requires a PREP01 waypoint to be entered at the very least to correctly aligned.
We are assuming last position may be different to current position.
