Feedback on Pilot Models (Bo-105, MH-60 & upcoming CH-53) – Cockpit Immersion

I’m a huge fan of your work and I am incredibly excited for the upcoming CH-53! However, there is one major topic that is extremely important to me (and many other military aviation enthusiasts): the pilot models. On the Bo-105, the standard Asobo civilian pilots were used. Seeing pilots without helmets in a military or rescue helicopter completely breaks the immersion. To be honest, this is the main reason why I haven’t purchased the Bo-105 yet. Similarly, on the MH-60, we have been waiting for quite a long time for the promised high-resolution crew models. For the upcoming CH-53 and future product updates, I highly request custom, animated, and authentic pilot models (with proper helmets and military gear) – similar to how Hype Performance Group (HPG) handles it. Your helicopter models look absolutely masterful inside and out; the pilots should reflect this high quality to maintain the realism and overall enjoyment.Thank you for your hard work and for listening to the community!

    1. Hello Mitch,
Please note that due to the scope of the Bo105, which includes 13 different variants and over 50 liveries from different operators, ranging anywhere from civilian, to broadcast, police and military; it was decided that the characters featured inside the cockpit would be the default MSFS Avatars.

MSFS Avatars are fully customizable, and therefore suit better the different operators modeled on this product. Using custom characters, like in the MH60, would limit customization and it would result in many more unsatisfied users.

Military-only aircraft, such as the upcoming CH53, UH60, and U2 will feature fully customizable, accurate 3D characters to the equipment used by those pilots. Unfortunately, we just can’t mix default and custom characters on one single aircraft.
